The department provides organizational-methodological guidance and oversight of the activities of specialized obstetrics and gynecology service institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in coordination with the Main Directorate for Maternal and Child Health Protection of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Currently, the department carries out the following:
- Registration of birth and perinatal mortality medical certificates, adult mortality certificates in the electronic database of the Ministry of Health and Civil Registry Office (UzMedInfo, IT-med).
- Registration of documents for the preferential patient/pregnant women contingent, distribution of received documents by regions, nosologies, and departments. Preparation of monthly registers, reports, semi-annual and annual reports on the preferential patient contingent.
- Issuance of sick leave certificates and medical certificates, their registration, and preparation of annual reports on the use of temporary disability certificates issued at the Center.
- Distribution and archiving of documents in accordance with the approved work plan of the Central State Archive for implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Archives", record keeping, and document storage.
